Grant Received

NGFD has been awarded a grant from the Assembly Member Grant Initiative Program in the amount of $4,128 for the purchase of auxiliary electric and water pump equipment. Assemblyman William Reilich’s successful efforts improve the level of service North Greece provides to its residents.

Rescue 278 Dedicated

The North Greece Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners unanimously approved the recommendation of Commissioner Walt Bedford to dedicate Rescue 278 in honor of Captain Steve Howcraft. Steve’s dedication, expertise, and work ethic are unparalleled. He is well-deserving of this honor, although, he politely declines any such accolades.

Fire Extinguisher Training

NGFD has been awarded a grant from the Community Projects Appropriation Contract in the amount of $10,000 for the purchase of a fire extinguisher training unit. This equipment safely and effectively trains individuals in the use of fire extinguishers. This training tool is an excellent addition to our Fire and Life Safety Education Program.
