This announcement follows a Board decision made Tuesday, 6/27/2017.

Over the past several months, the North Greece Board of Fire Commissioners has been reviewing the leadership structure of the North Greece Fire District. After careful review of this data, The Board made the difficult decision to abolish the position of Assistant Fire Chief. This change becomes effective on July 22, 2017. Unfortunately, this decision also brings to an end 5 years of service to the North Greece Fire District for the current Assistant Chief.

This difficult decision is based solely upon what will best for the District and our taxpayers in terms of efficiency and economy.

The North Greece Fire District values the service that Assistant Chief Skip Dorgan has provided over the past five years. We thank him for his service, and we wish him only the best in his future endeavors.
